An emotional moment
September 15th, 2008What a fantastic job Doug and company have done with setting up the web sight. I enjoyed seeing your pictures (Jeb congrats on the wedding, Alan you look great and congrats to you too). Now that Hurricane IKE is outta here, Geoff and I can book a flight for the reunion.
Did have a very emotional moment this morning reading and seeing the pictures of all our classmates we have lost. I can’t believe it, but as they say “only the good die young”.
Look forward to seeing you all November 7th. Be safe…Jennie Belle
Joe Biden’s wife
August 29th, 2008I read an interesting story about Joe Biden’s wife, Jill, in the paper. She grew up in Willow Grove and graduated from Upper Moreland class of 69. It also said they were having a reunion in late November with combined 67, 68, and 69 classes. I guess we will have to combine at some point but for now at 40 years it looks like we are going to have the best turnout ever.
Doug
Ah, the past isn’t what it used to be.
August 26th, 2008No one can speak for anyone but himself. I know we’re all older.
A sentimental view of the past leads to havoc in third world countries.

Message from Alan LeCoff
August 20th, 2008I have been asked to post this. Being a recovering workaholic, I never had the time or desire to partake in the exchange of emails. But, I must admit, I have been overjoyed, and at times overwhelmd, by the recent flood of CHS68 messages. Maybe its he frailty of life, our passage into “sniorhood”, or my current heart condition, but I find myself relishing our collective joy in hearing about our fellow CH68 graduates. I find it most interesting to compare l968 to 2008. Back then we existed in a hihly competitive social-academic environment. We then entered into a journey that shaped our lives, America, and the world. In reviewing the emails from fellow classmates, we have experienced joy, sorrow, accomplishments, tragedy, and death. Through it all, I can honestly say, we have evolved into wiser, older souls. Atleast in my heart, I have a greater appreciation for my fellow beings. I see far less, or no distinctions between or among us. And in the end, we all want what is best for ourselves and the ones we love. It has taken me 58 years to appreciatethis. Maybe it has taken less time for others. Nevertheless, we are all here together. As I traveled in my academic, professional, and social life from phila. to kansas to michigan back to phila., I have fond and deep memories of people and places I have been. But, there are no stronger or more cherished feelings than those I have of Cheltenham.
Peace, Alan Le Coff, alanblecoff@verizon.net
One of our peers died today
June 14th, 2008NBC’s Tim Russert died today. He was born May 7, 1950 in Buffalo, NY but had he lived in Cheltenham Townhip and attended Cheltenham schools he would have been in the class of 1968. Such a talented and loved man, a big loss to his family and the country. We are all getting older but to die at 58 is just too young.
Who was you favorite teacher?
June 10th, 2008Lets get some discussion started!
June 8th, 2008Ok, lets get some discussion started. You can add comments to this question.
Where did you go to elementary school? What was your first grade teachers name? In what section of Cheltenham Township did you live?
Feel free to add further comments beyond these questions.
